Neptune

The planet Neptune symbolizes powerful dreams, dreams so powerful they can be veiled by dreamy illusion and delusion. The Neptune card reveals the content of one's dreams so that one can, finally, see one's own dream clearly. The Neptune card reveals what one’re dreaming and how to make that dream come true.

The Neptune card also validates what one is dreaming, hoping, and wishing to experience right now.

Because Neptune symbolizes inspirations, idealism, and utopian objectives, negatively-speaking, The Neptune card can also reveal the area of one's life about which one has foolish and impractical ideas.

It exposes the area of one's life about which one may have wishful thinking, personal illusions, or delusions of grandeur.

So, The Neptune card can represent that which one is dreaming to experience, but about which one may have many illusions and delusions. So, whatever is The Neptune card may be both what it is one is hoping for/wishing for in one's life but also that which one must first shatter one's illusions and delusions.

Neptune, which is associated with water, also symbolizes travel, distant interests, and longing for something that is in the distance. The things in the distance can also be psychological, spiritual, and astral “lands.” So, that which is our Neptune Card may indicate for us that which is the object of our longing.

It may also reveal the reason why we are choosing to “travel” at the moment and what it is we are hoping to see and experience, either through our geographical or spiritual travels.

In Neptune, the ethereal planet, we want to guard against being self-deceived, tricking ourselves, or deceiving and tricking others. It’s important to realize that we may be idealizing something or someone and not seeing it, or ourselves clearly.

If we are self-deceived, in Neptune, it can bring dis-ease, where we are out of harmony with ourselves, which can negatively affect our physical health and wellbeing, causing illness.

Thus, the Neptune Card may reveal the idealized thing that is the subject or object of our own self-deception and dis-ease – the veiled power whose power is working against us because we are not seeing it clearly and are out of harmony with it.
